EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP

We recently took a group of students to the Film Festival in Sevilla Este to see a documentary film which discussed the various abstract definitions of art, as French man Thierry Ghetta sought out one of the most famous yet elusive artists known as Banksy. As the film progresses , you begin to see his intense slowly evolve into an obsession that begins to affect everyone else around him. The documentary is filmed in English with Spanish subtitles. KRISTINA, OUR NEW ASSISTANT
Hi, everyone! As the new language and culture assistant at I.E.S. El Molinillo, I've been given the opportunity to help plan English lessons between students and professors at the instituto. Just a little over a month into the job, and I can already tell this is going to be an unforgettable learning experience. Both challenging and rewarding. I've helped in classrooms with a wide variety of students, whether it's their age, education level, or just personality in general. Looking forward to see what this year brings... FINLAND
My experience in Finland:
When the teacher informed us about this travel to Finland I didn't think that I'd enjoy so much but I was wrong. This travel has been brilliant. I have visited incredible places and I have known great people.
I will never forget this travel and my new friends.

RIOTINTO

For the second consecutive year the trip to Riotinto was a complete success. The students of the 2nd level had the opportunity to explore the recreation of an ancient mining gallery, visit the Mining Museum, ride the mining train following the course of the Tinto River and visit a typical Victorian house. Definitely, it was worth it.

Peace Day
Here is some of the material used to celebrate the School Day of Non-violence and Peace. The students of the 3rd A group interpreted Michael Jackson's 'We are the World' dedicating their performance to those who unfortunately suffer the shabby treatment of war and its consequences. Besides, the students read some of Luther King's quotes in both English and Spanish with John Lennon's 'Imagine' in the background. Certainly, this was a day to remember. Congratulations to the 3rdA group.

Pygmalion
On January 15th we went to Sevilla to see "Pygmalion," a play about a poor common girl who wants to learn how to sing and become a star. It shows her journey to becoming a lady and a star, but unfortunately it does not change her teacher's rude attitude and lack of respect towards others. It was an adapted version from the original play and the theatre company did a great job with it. The students really enjoyed it for the music and entertainment value. A good event for English classes!
